Percy L. SHULTZ, former Waveland resident died of a heart attack Wed Oct 14, 1959 at Culver where he had been a patient two weeks for a knee operation. He was born near Newtown Feb 22, 1884 to William Wirt and Emma Garner Shultz. He was married to Ethel Thompson of Newtown who died 32 years ago. He married India Sharpe (sic – Sharp) of Waveland who survives. Mr. Shultz was a farmer until four years ago, when he became a night watchman at the DeKalb plant at Crawfordsville. He retired last June. Surviving besides the widow are four children of previous marriage, Lyle of Crawfordsville; Norris of Stockton, California; Donald of Los Angeles and Mrs. Marjorie Taylor of West Point; a step son Wilmer Sharpe of Waveland; a sister, Mrs. Amy Dinwiddie of Hillsboro; 5 grandchildren and two step grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Crumley Funeral Home, Hillsboro with Rev. Shackelford officiating. Interment in Newtown Cemetery. - kbz
